2009 Award of Merit in the High-Rise Category for the renovation we performed at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst's Lederle Graduate Research Center (a multi-building project site which includes a 3-story Computer/Library Wing, and three 17-story classroom research towers). |

Builders Association
The American Sports Builders Association has awarded
Gale the 2008 Multi-Purpose Turf award for work we performed
at Worcester Polytechnic Institute and Durfee High School
in Fall River, MA and the Sports Field award for the redevelopment
of three athletic fields at Brown University (pictured
left). |

for the Repair of Thermal Storage Tank #1 at the Transportation

2007 Project of the Year and Award
of Excellence in the Water Category- International Concrete
Repair Institute
The International Concrete Repair Institute (I.C.R.I.)
of New England awarded Gale with the 2007 Project of the
Year Award and National I.C.R.I. awarded Gale with the
2007 Award of Excellence in the Water Category for the
concrete restoration work we performed for the three underground
water storage tanks at the Massachusetts State Transportation
Building. |

2007 Distinguished Outdoor Track Facilities
and Distinguished Sports Field Facility - American Sports
Builders Association
The American Sports Builders Association has awarded
Gale the 2007 Distinguished Outdoor Track Facility for
the work we performed at Dartmouth College (pictured left)
and the Wolfeboro Park and Athletic Complex. They also
awarded Gale the 2007 Distinguished Sports Field Facility
for the work we performed for the Massachusetts Youth
Soccer Association. |

2006 Project of the Year - International Concrete Repair Institute
The International Concrete Repair Institute (I.C.R.I) of New England awarded Gale with the 2006 Project of the Year Award for the work we performed at 330 Stuart Street in Boston, MA. Constructed in 1927, 330 Stuart Street is a historically significant transitional building. Gale evaluated the building and designed repairs to the brick masonry, concrete, limestone panels and decorative elements. We also designed the repair and replacement of the embedded steel structural supports. |

2003 Preservation Design Award (Restoration Category)
In January, 2001, a truck traveling over 70 m.p.h. was purposely driven into the historic California State Capitol, causing an explosion and fire that damaged the stone veneer and wooden doors of the building. The damaged portico and adjacent exterior wall needed to be reconstructed. Carey and Company, the historical architect, retained Gale to serve as the waterproofing consultant for the restoration. Gale, along with other consultants, was awarded the 2003 Preservation Design Award in the Restoration Category for this project. |

2003 Preservation Award (Cambridge Historical Commission)
On May 22, 2003, the Cambridge Historical Commission recognized Gale for "outstanding efforts to preserve and maintain historic properties throughout the city" for the work that we performed at the Stanstead Building, 19 Ware Street in Cambridge, MA. Our work included repointing the masonry veneer, removing and replacing the existing windows, and removing and replacing the front entrance door and stairway to enhance the building’s aesthetics. |

2002 Design Excellence Gold Award
The American Council of Engineering Companies of Massachusetts (ACEC/MA) awarded Gale Associates with the 2002 Design Excellence Gold Award for our work on the Holyoke Municipal Athletic Complex. Gale designed a multi-radial track with a full National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) regulation soccer field in the track infield. The project integrates the stadium complex with the adjacent city pool and state hockey arena, making the Roberts Field Athletic Complex the finest stadium in western Massachusetts.
