EXTERIOR FACADE INSPECTION

The historical Schubert Theatre, known as Boston Theatre District’s “Little Princess,” was originally constructed in 1910. Although multiple renovations have been made to both the district and the theatre, the main Tremont Street elevation (which consists of a decorative stone façade that incorporates many elements of the French Renaissance style) is believed to be original. To give the “little” theatre its grandiose appearance, the wall extends a full story above the roofline. The owner retained Gale to assess the condition of the exterior façade, determine if structural stabilization of the main wall was required, and provide preliminary recommendations to reduce the potential of water infiltration.
