Boston University hired Gale to provide peer review and design services for a new graduate student housing facility that provides housing for over 900 students on their Boston campus. Gale’s consulting services included various aspects of building envelope commissioning, including peer review of the design documents, several phases of design development, and coordinating meetings between multiple contractors involved with installing building envelope components (roofing, waterproofing, wall panels, flashing, windows, curtain wall, pre-cast and other masonry assemblies). Gale also oversaw full-scale mock-up testing of exterior wall panels at labs in York, Pennsylvania. Our envelope consulting duties also included assisting in detail development, product recommendations, and material selections.
