BUILDING ENVELOPE CONSULTING

Constructed in 1940, 120 State Street is a Vermont marble-clad building. There have been ongoing leaks throughout the building for several years and past repair attempts were not successful. The Vermont Department of Buildings and General Services hired Gale to design repairs to the exterior marble cladding that would stop the leaks and not affect the appearance of the building. Gale evaluated the existing conditions and field tested several sealant repairs before selecting Sonolastic 150 by Degussa as the stone to stone sealant. We also provided construction inspection.
