EXTERIOR FACADE AND STRUCTURAL RENOVATIONS
Constructed in 1927 and formerly known as the “Salada Tea
Building,” 330 Stuart Street is a historically significant
transitional masonry building. Gale provided an initial
engineering evaluation to categorize the extent of repairs
required and performed field and laboratory testing. We then
designed the renovation of the brick masonry, limestone
panels, and decorative elements; repair/replacement of
embedded steel structural supports; and rehabilitation of the
concrete. We also provided bid and construction phase
services.
The International Concrete Repair Institute (ICRI) of
New England awarded Gale the 2006 Project of the Year
Award for the work we performed at 330 Stuart
Street.
