ROOF DESIGN AND CONSULTING SERVICES
Gale designed a new slate roof and new skylights for
Harvard’s historic Semitic Museum. The century-old building’s
original slate roof and copper-framed skylights had
reached the end of their useful life span. Original
copper flashing was deteriorated and beginning to fail.
Gale’s design provided new slate to match the original,
new copper flashing and gutters, and additional snow
guards. We also designed replacement skylights with
new units designed to match the lines of the originals.
Gale provided construction administration for the project,
working with the Museum staff and Harvard’s Facilities
Group.
