EXTERIOR FACADE EVALUATION

Gale was retained by Boston College to evaluate the exterior façade of the O’Connell House, a graduate student dormitory building (originally constructed in 1895 as a private residence). This historic building consists of load-bearing brick masonry walls with limestone and cast stone architectural accents. Gale was retained to assess the building for moisture intrusion and deteriorated façade conditions. Gale provided Boston College with a report detailing building defects, prioritized repair recommendations, and cost estimates. Following the evaluation, Gale provided design and consulting services to facilitate various masonry and stone repairs.
