EXTERIOR ENVELOPE SURVEY & INVESTIGATION

Gale evaluated the building envelopes of Hall and Richmond Hall at Towson University in preparation for a comprehensive renovation. Both buildings were experiencing chronic moisture intrusion and deterioration of exterior masonry walls, windows, and roof systems. We investigated and evaluated the brick masonry walls, slate and low-slope roofing systems, copper flashings and gutters, sealants, windows, and below-grade waterproofing. Gale then prepared a detailed report outlining our findings and recommended repair/replacement approaches, as well as estimated construction costs.
