EVALUATION AND DESIGN OF FACADE RENOVATIONS

The building was experiencing displaced, cracked, and spalled brick masonry, as well as marble panels “bowing” outward, away from the building. Gale performed various masonry test cuts to confirm the presence of through-wall flashing, masonry anchors, and attachment methods. Gale designed repairs to the façade, including removing and replacing the masonry to install through-wall flashings, installing new lateral ties, and removing marble panels for the installation of new aluminum clad insulated panels.
