ATHLETIC FACILITY RENOVATIONS

Gale provided the planning, design, and construction administration of a new multi-purpose field for the Salisbury School, a preparatory secondary school in central Connecticut. The field meets the NCAA geometry requirements for four sports and features the latest in-filled monofilament technology. The field was constructed on a site with challenging clay soils, high-water table, and chronic drainage concerns. Renovations also included improved parking and handicapped access, a spectator grandstand and press box, and a highly-landscaped entrance statement. Additionally, the facility includes various appurtenances necessary for a well-planned and integrated sports facility (power, communications, scoring, PA, etc.). The field development began in the spring of 2007 and was available for the fall 2007 season.
