AIRPORT PLANNING AND CONSULTING SERVICES

Gale provides airport consulting services to both the City of Westfield Airport Commission (civil side) and Massachusetts Air National Guard (military side) of the joint use Westfield-Barnes Airport. Projects completed and contemplated to date include:

• Reconstruct taxiway ‘S’
• Reconstruct, light, and mark runway intersection
• Maintenance improvements and new marking of runways and aprons
• New perimeter fencing (three phases) and access control system
• Airport layout plan update
• New SRE/maintenance equipment
• Relocation of drop tank fueling area (ANG Base)
• Preliminary concept planning study for new administration building
• Development of $35 million 20 year capital improvement program
• Airport feasibility study to determine future airport role
• Airport Master Plan and ALP update
