EVALUATION OF ROOFS AND PRIORITIZATION OF REPAIRS

The GOAA needed a roofing network database that would evaluate, catalog, and prioritize repairs to their 2,000,000 s.f. of terminal and ancillary buildings. Gale evaluated the roofing using the "ROOFER" Management Program developed by the Army Corps of Engineers. We entered the roofing defect data into a database that calculated roof condition indexes based on defects, roofing type, and age; enabling GOAA to prioritize and budget roofing repairs and replacement. Gale then implemented the program into their system, trained personnel, established roof repair/replacement criteria, and performed roof and skylight renovation projects.
