SLATE ROOF REPLACEMENT
The Aldrich School was experiencing problems with its slate
roof, including cracked and missing slate shingles. There was
extensive interior water infiltration at sheet metal flashing
and gutter locations, deteriorated brick masonry above the
roof line, and severe snow creep as a result of insufficient
snow guards at main entrances. Gale removed and replaced the
existing slate shingles, sheet metal flashings, and
underlayments. We rebuilt the deteriorated brick masonry
components and fully repointed the masonry chimneys. Gale also
installed new copper gutters and downspouts.
