Gale provides airport consulting services to both the City of Westfield Airport Commission (civil side) and Massachusetts Air National Guard (military side) of the joint use Westfield-Barnes Airport. Projects completed and contemplated to date include:
- Reconstruct taxiway ‘S’
- Reconstruct, light, and mark runway intersection
- Maintenance improvements and new marking of runways and aprons
- New perimeter fencing (three phases) and access control system
- Airport layout plan update
- New SRE/maintenance equipment
- Relocation of drop tank fueling area (ANG Base)
- Preliminary concept planning study for new administration building
- Development of $35 million 20 year capital improvement program
- Airport feasibility study to determine future airport role
- Airport Master Plan and ALP update
