The Early Childhood Center School’s roof was suffering from deteriorated sloped asphalt shingles, portions of which had blown off due to inadequate attachment. The structural roof deck was also deteriorating. Gale’s services included complete evaluation, design, and public bid in accordance with M.G.L. Chapter 149, and construction phase services. Gale selected and used distinctive shingles, cupola enclosures and fascia metals, all of which dramatically improved the appearance of the school.
The final construction contract resulted in a $37,000 credit back to the Town of Abington.
